John from Wyle Cop Antiques has moved into the Henry Tudor House with top class counrty furniture and accessories so you now have double chance of finding a wonderful antique for your home. Blue from Shifnal have opened (in the former Hortica shop) and are selling a lovely range of fresh flowers and accessories.

We are totally proud of our street which boast some of the oldest buildings in any town. 60% of all the businesses in Shrewsbury are independent which cannot be said by any other town of this size. Where to begin? The Flower Show, Percy Thrower and The Dingle - if you want floral displays we have it all. The Abbey and The Castle - so much history! Charles Darwin and Rowley's House - more history! The River Severn looping around us with our Welsh and English Bridges The Quarry for relaxing, paddling, swimming and so much more. Park & Ride - 3 main routes so just park the car and travel in comfort. Only £1 per person with car parking free. You can hop on and off once you've bought your ticket. Get off at Wyle Cop from Meole Brace or Dogpole from Harlscott & Oxon. Buildings - some of the oldest, most interesting buildings you'll see anywhere. Shrewsbury has the tallest Town Crier in Europe. Martin Woods is often seen in full outfit around Shrewsbury doing what he does best! The Folk Festival, Jazz Festival, Street Theatre Festival as well as so many concerts in The Quarry. Shrewsbury biscuits. Add to all this - more independent shops, cafes, hotels and pubs than any other town of it's size and you have a great day out or short break.

There is so much to choose on Wyle Cop. We have a traditional tea room, Cloisters half way up the hill. Also a great cafe and ice-cream parlour called Bellinis. A Vegetarian Wholefood restaurant, The Goodlife which is down Barracks Passage, halfway up the Cop. The Cornhouse Restaurant is at the bottom and serves very interesting meals in a great atmosphere. Alfie and Billie's is a modern cafe serving a good range. We then have a whole variety of Indian and Balti resaurants - Ramna, The Masala, Shuvecha and Sharaz and Lee's Garden serving Chinese Cuisine. Top that off with 3 pubs - The Nags Head, The Hop and Friar and The Lion Tap

In the centre of Wyle Cop we have the famous Lion Hotel. A beautiful hotel in the centre of Shrewbury. At the bottom of the Cop, right by the River Severn we have The Lion & Pheasant Hotel. Just off Wyle Cop on St Julian Friars we have the Sandford House Hotel and The Abbotts Mead Hotel. Both within a very easy walk of the river, the Quarry and all the wonderful shops.
